Our Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is a one-day course designed for anyone working with or caring for babies and children, including nursery staff, teachers, and childcare providers.


It provides essential skills and knowledge to respond quickly, confidently, and effectively in emergencies involving children of all ages.

Delivered by experienced operational first responders, the training is practical, hands-on, and easy to follow, ensuring learners gain real confidence in managing paediatric incidents.

This course meets Ofsted and EYFS requirements, making it ideal for childcare professionals and anyone responsible for the safety and wellbeing of children.

What the course covers:

  • Assessing an emergency and prioritising care for babies and children

  • CPR for infants and children, including use of an AED

  • Managing choking, unconsciousness, and breathing difficulties

  • Treating minor and severe injuries, burns, and bleeding

  • Recognising and responding to seizures, allergic reactions, and asthma attacks

  • First aid for common childhood illnesses and emergencies

  • Safe practices for accident prevention in childcare settings


Successful learners receive the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid, a recognised qualification that meets regulatory requirements and is valid for three years.
